Centennial is pleased to announce the May winner of the Centennial 12 in 12 Community Campaign – Children’s Discovery Museum on the Saskatchewan
“The Children’s Discovery Museum’s mandate is to foster creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Our goal is to be in a large central location to have exhibits for children of all ages and to be a family destination. This generous Centennial 12 in 12 Community Campaign donation will be used to promote outreach activities to community events and the city splash parks in the summer.” – Sharon Elder, Children’s Discovery Museum Board Member
The Children’s Discovery Museum on the Saskatchewan is the recipient of the May 12 in 12 $1,000 donation. Each month in 2011 a registered local nonprofit or charitable organization will be selected from the eligible nominees to receive a $1,000 donation from Centennial. Centennial is pleased to announce the April winner of the Centennial 12 in 12 Community Campaign – Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan – Saskatoon Chapter
The Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan (SSS) exists to improve the quality of life for those affected by schizophrenia and psychosis through education, support programs, public policy and research. Since 1982 the SSS has been supporting those who are affected by schizophrenia in the Saskatoon community and their families.
The Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan – Saskatoon Chapter is the recipient of the April 12 in 12 $1,000 donation. Centennial is pleased to announce the March winner of the Centennial 12 in 12 Community Campaign – Saskatchewan Railway Museum
The Saskatchewan Railway Museum is an educational centre on the history of the railways in Saskatchewan. This exhibit was developed in 1990 by the Saskatchewan Railway Historical Association which was founded to collect, preserve, restore, exhibit, study and interpret Saskatchewan’s railway history. The museum is open from the May long weekend to Labour Day weekend in September, Thursday through Monday, from noon to 5:00pm.
The Saskatchewan Railway Museum is the recipient of the March 12 in 12 $1,000 donation. The SRHA plans to use this money to support its summer students. Each month in 2011 a registered local nonprofit or charitable organization will be selected from the eligible nominees to receive a $1,000 donation from Centennial.
